  2. How to use Image Integrator for QuarkXPress¬
  3. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

  5. Image Integrator is an XTension for the users of QuarkXPress¬ 3.1 and above.  
  6. This XTension allows you to import TIF and EPS image files directly from the 
  7. Adobe¬ Fetch¬ browser (included on this CD) into your QuarkXPress¬ document.

  9.      For more information about Adobe Fetch browser, please read the ╥Mini User 
  10.      Guide (CD-ROM)╙ located in the ╥Adobe Fetch 1.2 Browser╙ folder on this 
  11.      CD.

  13. Installing Image Integrator on your computer
  14. ------------------------------------------------------------
  15.      To install Image Integrator on your computer, copy the Image Integrator file 
  16.      (located in the ╥QuarkXPress¬ Users╙ folder on this CD) to your 
  17.      QuarkXPress¬ folder, and start QuarkXPress¬.

  19.     NOTE: If QuarkXPress¬ was already running when you copied Image 
  20.      Integrator, you must now restart QuarkXPress.

  22. Using Image Integrator
  23. -------------------------------
  24.      Ñ Start by creating a new document or opening an existing one in 
  25.      QuarkXPress¬.
  26.  
  27.      Ñ Open a Fetch¬ catalog by double-clicking on the corresponding icon 
  28.      located in the ╥Adobe¬ Fetch¬ 1.2 browser╙ folder on your CD.  The 
  29.      Adobe¬ Fetch¬ browser will start automatically.

  31.      Ñ Locate the image you want to import to QuarkXPress¬ and highlight it by 
  32.      clicking your mouse on it once.  If more than one image is to be imported, 
  33.      hold down the command key while selecting multiple images.

  35.      Ñ Once selected, go under the ╥Item╙ menu and choose ╥Send Reference╙.

  37.      Ñ A box will appear with ╥Choose a program to link to:╙.  Select 
  38.      QuarkXPress¬ under ╥Programs╙ and press ╥OK╙.

  40.      Ñ Return to QuarkXPress¬ and an untitled box should now appear with the 
  41.      name(s) of the image file(s) you selected.

  43.      Ñ Highlight the file(s) you wish to place.  Multiple files can be selected by 
  44.      holding down the command key while selecting.

  46.      Ñ Choose ╥Place╙ under the ╥Item╙ menu of your untitled box.

  48.      Ñ The image should now appear in your QuarkXPress¬ document.
